LEARNING
-A private school with philosophies rooted in Charlotte Mason’s approach to a living education through books, exploration and natural wonder. We use modern approaches to apply a living education in today’s society.
-We provide opportunities for enrichment in all that we teach. This includes field trips, visits from those in the “real world” who can reinforce what the child has learned through modeling and real-life examples, as well as a hands-on approach to learning through STEM, Art, Technology Lab and more.
-We embody principles drawn from Montessori and Wild + Free educational philosophies by allowing for child-directed learning, where appropriate, and provide ample opportunities for imaginative play. We strive to create an environment where the child can learn in a place most comfortable to them and we appreciate the individuality of each child.
-We designed our school to be tailored to the student rather than tailoring the student to the school. This results in a variety of learning spaces for the children and includes a quiet library space, comfortable floor cushions or floor learning, an imagination room with rotating motifs each month, art room, project room, and common area.
-We provide an individualized learning plan for your student at the beginning of each school year. This includes an initial educational assessment by our certified staff, a review of your educational and character goals for your child, their likes and dislikes, and any other pertinent information that will help us to design the best learning plan with you to suit their needs.
-We love and encourage parent-involvement in every aspect of our teaching. Do you love cooking? Come teach a class! Are you a watercolor expert? We’d love to learn from you! Maybe reading books through imaginative acting is your forte? Come teach us your skills.
